Specific arrangements with respect to catering, floral and other decorations, music and entertainment can be made and the costs will vary depending on the size of the event, the number of guests and your specific preferences. Most of our weddings take place in the afternoon (3.00-4.00 pm in the winter and 4.00-5.00 pm in the summer to enjoy the best light) followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and a romantic dinner. For intimate weddings with just the bridal couple, the dinner is served in the romantically decorated gazebo. For larger parties, there are a choice of locations such as either the restaurant, the bar terrace or the gardens depending on number of guests and the menu selection as well as time of the year and expected weather conditions.
Your wedding day is your very special day to celebrate your love in the tranquillity and beauty of Mocking Bird Hill. This intimate setting provides the perfect ambiance for you both to be completely at one with each other and your surroundings.
Our decorations are all natural: fresh locally available flowers, many from our gardens and all of which are composted after they have wilted. Some are even put into water to grow roots after which we plant them in our gardens All the products that we use for the decorations are reusable. We do not use any plastics or other single use materials that are not recyclable. For favours there any plenty of possibilities for creative earth friendly ideas. Choose something unusual, original and surprise your guests – something that will remind them of their vacation with you in Port Antonio long after they have returned home - and yet be an expression of your commitment to choosing responsibly.
