At Mocking Bird Hill, you can select from a few possibilities that are offered ranging from the bar terrace with spectacular views or in the gardens or in the wedding gazebo – a natural setting surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, and flowering shrubs. The natural setting provides the backdrop and provides a simply, relaxed elegant setting whereby the site of the wedding is decorated with tropical flowers, orchids, white organza.

We recommend that the bridal couple faces their guests. The best man and brides maid or ring bearer (if you opt for one) can stand behind you with the wedding officer's back to the guests (rather than having the backs of the bridal couple facing the guests; this helps to make the wedding more personal).

For larger groups the guests will be seated on chairs on the lawn.

Our romantic wedding package includes:
  • Marriage license

  • Images on a CD-Rom for you to take and have duplicated. This covers photographs of the bride and groom before the wedding, the actual ceremony and the reception.

Offsite Weddings

If ceremony is to be on the river en route while rafting then a surcharge of US$ 399.00 will apply. We will also have the raft itself decorated.

We can also arrange for the wedding to take place at the beach. An additional location fee is charged for this which includes a coconut arch built over the site as well as the seating arrangements for the guests. Price varies based on group size:

For just couples with witnesses and a few friends (less than 10 persons) - US$ 150.00
For small groups up to 30 persons - US$ 300.00
For groups with over 30 person - US$ 625.00

Photographer

In addition to the in-house photography that we provide in the forms of digital images on a CD covering the wedding and the reception,  would you like a professional photographer to be ordered for the occasion?

Extra fees for a professional photographer to take approximately 100 images:
approximately US$ 700.00 (This provides one set of prints); prices vary slightly depending on the photographer available, and the time required.

Videographer - Prices range from US$ 500.00 to US$ 750.00.

For an additional US$ 50.00 a DVD can be provided in addition to the video.

Seating during the wedding ceremony

Involving your family and guests during/after the wedding ceremony

All the paper products will be hand made by the local women's co-operative from natural fibres. We can also order thank you notes using the hand made paper – a true token of this destination.

  • A packet of chocolate tea balls with nutmeg, allspice and  leaves
  • An indulgent package with body care products using local produce such as coconut body lotion, coconut and molasses soap, relaxing foot bath and body oil

Band Music

You have 2 choices:

A traditional Jamaican folklore Mento band
(no PA system)

The regular band will play background music during the reception and dinner and if desired dancing music afterwards covering approx. 4 hours and will bring the necessary PA system with them. They can extend their time if requested.

Please indicate if you would like them to also be present during the wedding ceremony to either play the prelude, the wedding march or a particular piece of music during the ceremony.

An hour's full body relaxing massage and a manicure costs US$ 120.00.
An hour's massage alone costs US$ 95.00.

Since you have decided to choose a destination wedding, would you like us to arrange one of the following (either pre- or post wedding)  for you and your guests to allow your friends and family to enjoy spending time together and sharing special joint memories of the destination and the unforgettable time you shared together?

Brunch or barbecue pool party
A gentle, romantic rafting trip on bamboo rafts that lasts approx. 2-2,5 hours. On the way a picnic can be arranged. The trip including transportation is US$ 86.00 per person, assuming that 2 persons sit on a raft, in other words US$ 172.00 per couple.
For a picnic lunch you can choose:
Jerk chicken, potato and sweet potato salad, green/mixed salad, breadrolls, butter, fruit, dessert (as an example) for
US$ 25.00 per person.
Smoked marlin and melon, crayfish with a dip, shrimp salad, escovitsch fish, green or mixed salads, breadrolls etc. US$ 35.00 per person.
For larger groups a floating bar can be arranged to accompany the party down river so that you can get drinks along the way, at the cost of an additional raft. For smaller groups we can provide a cooler box filled with beverages.
