Mille Fleurs’ led the way in Jamaica and introduced their tasty Meatless Mondays in 2010 as  a way of cutting down on greenhouse resources and highlight their local farm producers.
According to the United Nations, livestock production generates more of the world’s greenhouse gases than transport.
We have the potential to save our planet and her precious resources. Below are just some of the benefits to the planet by going meatless once  a week:

The chef can accommodate special dietary requirements but only with prior advance notice as many of the specialist ingredients required for gluten free or vegan diets are not available locally and are generally only available on import which are then sourced in Kingston (a 2.5 hrs drive away). The kitchen will try their hardest to accommodate guests but cannot do full justice to special requirements if they are not notified a few days in  advance by either email or telephone.
